The Best-Kept Secret In The Saltwater fishing World……

Any good saltwater fishing secrets you can share with me?

One of the best kept secrets in the fishing industry for saltwater fishing is…..Fly Fishing. You heard me right, Fly Fishing. Whether you are stalking the Florida Flats for Pompano and Bonefish, beating the bayous for redfish and specks, hitting th bays for striped bass, or cruising the Blue Water in search of tuna and billfish, using fly gear will quadruple the excitement. There is no greater thrill on earth than hooking into a raging tarpon with a fly, and bringing in a Marlin on a fly rod.

The main drawback to fly fishing, especially in saltwater, is that it is extremely addicting. You start off with a basic rig, and before you know it, you’ve dedicated a room in your house to fly-tying, and gear storage. Some fly fishermen get irritated when a person assumes that since they fly fish, they are trout aficionados, but I never correct anyone. It makes for less crowding on the beach when I want to tackle bluefish and striped bass.

Give it a try. I can change your life……

Happy fishing.
