Saltwater Baits – Tried and True

Even when you’re using live bait it’s a good idea to carry some artificial lures with you. This way, if you run out of live bait or if the species you’re seeking out is being picky, you can switch over to lures.

Saltwater Fishing
Saltwater fishing does offer a lot of excitement because it’s so unpredictable. You never know what to expect next. You can even go deep sea fishing if you want to but this will require a lot more preparation than regular fishing.

Many people miss out on the opportunity of saltwater fishing because they don’t realize that fishing from the shore can be just as productive as fishing from a boat. Since they don’t know this, they don’t even go out and give it a try so they miss out on some really great fishing opportunities.

There are many interesting species that line the shoreline and some of them can reach some very impressive sizes. Therefore, don’t miss out on your chance to do some saltwater fishing even if it means fishing from the shore.

Safety Issues
Anytime you go saltwater fishing it’s important to pay close attention to safety issues. The ocean can be a very dangerous place if you’re not careful. This type of environment is very unstable and the waves can get extremely rough from time to time. Storms can pop up very quickly and lighting storms are very dangerous. It’s also recommended that you take along a friend when fishing. Not only will it be more interesting but it will be safer as well.

The saltwater baits that you use can make a big difference in the amount of success you have when fishing in the ocean. The five saltwater baits listed above are some of the best to use especially for the beginner angler. You can begin adding to the list as you gain experience and decide which species of fish you want to seek out the most.
