I have just moved Crystal River Florida and would like to know where to find the GPS numbers for bottom fishing such as grouper, black bass and others…..within 20 mile radius of Crystal River, Florida.

There are a number of places GPS charts may be purchased for your area. To find them, simply ask other fishermen in your area (who might be reluctant to give up the very best spots locations) or purchase GPS coordinates from places such as bait shops, fishing guides, or online from varying sources. You can do a simple search from your favorite search engine to locate topo maps, coordinates, and places you can purchase them. Another option for pinpointing locations sure to yield a good catch of your favorite target fish would be to do your homework, and find out the natural habitats of the target fish, being sure to consider the times of year and natural spawning and seasonal changes of the fish, and buying or renting your own GPS to pinpoint locations in which the fish you are hoping to find would be found. You should pay particularly close attention to things such as the presence of bait fish or natural bait for your fish, cover, underwater ledges and other things such as structure that would indicate a prime location for Black bass, grouper and other bottom dwelling fish you might find attractive targets. Once you have found a sweet spot where you have had good luck, be sure to mark it on your GPS, so that you can locate the areas easily the next time out. Eventually, you will have built up a respectable resource guide that will provide you with easy access to good fishing every time you go out.
