Never go out without a pair of pliers; you never know if there is a part of your kayak that will need some adjusting in order to work properly. It would be horrible to be caught away from shore without any tools to fix small problems that have been overlooked prior to getting out to see. In fact, any small tools you can take with you are usually a good idea to have around.
When you go saltwater kayak fishing, you’ll probably find that
the paddles coming with a boat are lightweight and can be taken
apart for storage. When it comes to fishing rods used in saltwater
kayak fishing, you won’t necessarily need anything particularly
special but you would most likely do best with a 6 ½ or 7 foot
conventional rod that will be smooth to cast and tough against
a catch trying to get away.
Some popular forms of saltwater kayak fishing include trolling,
especially with swimming lures, eel fishing (usually targeting
cow striped bass with the eel), landing fish, and sight fishing.
Sometimes, you can spot the fish simply by looking beneath your
saltwater kayak. Fishing can be extremely interesting with a kayak
if you’ve never experienced such an adventure. You only need to
be prepared for this sort of excursion.
