If trolling for yellow fin tuna when saltwater fishing, one of the most popular lures is always a Rapala Magnum CD 18. Also extremely popular, particularly for larger catches, is the Rapala Magnum CD 26. These lures have a wide bladed head section. They are available in various colors, but the color does not seem to make much difference to the yellow fin. Another great thing about these particular lures is that they seem to work equally well for the other fish who seem to be in the same basic areas as the yellow fin.
As stated previously, there are many lures that work very well, and the main problem is narrowing down the choices enough to make an informed decision, but the main deciding factor will be personal preference and what seems to work best for you!
When all else fails, spend some time talking with the locals
in the area where you plan to fish. They will know more so than
anyone else what type of saltwater fishing lures work best in
their area. In fact, having someone with this type of experience
makes for the very best results when heading out onto the lake
for the first time. Determine the right lures and then enjoy your
saltwater fishing trip.
