Loud noises and lots of movement will scare the specks away, so be quite. If they see or hear you they will swim away and you will have to start over. Keep in mind that if you use a boat you need to cut the motor before you reach the area where you think the speckled trout will be. Otherwise, they will be gone for sure when you get there.
