I live on florida’s gulf coast. I walk the beach often. I have found a peice of bone and I am trying to find out what sort of fish it has come from. It looks like part of the upperjaw bone of a marlin. I have a picture that I could send you. I will try to discribe it since you can not view photos in this format. It is only a peice. approx 3 inches wide but has a spear looking shape down the center that is approx 1 inch diameter. the pecie seems to have been cut to make it only 3 inches wide. I think this because the sides of the peice are jagged. the tip of the “spear head” has been broken off and it only extend 2 1/2 inches past the wider peice. it resembles a rectangle shape wish an angel on the end where this spear shape protrudes. Did I explain it so you can understand? I have looked up bone structures on marlins but haven’t had much luck. Could you possibly help me? I could send you the picture if you could send me an alternate address? thank you, Beth Floridayungblood@aol.com Floridayungblood@yahoo.com Floridayungblood@hotmail.com
