New Jersey Saltwater Fishing

The weight of the sinker you are using is very important because it is needed to help keep the bait in the area where the fish are located. When it comes to the type of bait to use you have several options. Normally top baits, crankbaits, plastic worms, small jigs, spoons and spinnerbaits are the best choices for fishing in New Jersey.

Trying different methods is recommended because you may not get the same response each time you go out. Therefore, having a variety of different baits available is a good idea as well. This will allow you to switch off when one type of bait is not getting the results you were hoping for. The season and time of day that you are fishing will also make a difference in the type of bait and the technique that you will need to use.
